Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Must have 1 year experience
(psychiatric experience not
required, prefer some ER/MedSurg
experience).
Must have minimum associates
degree in nursing.
Must have Texas or compact
states license.
Psychiatric Nursing
certification desired, but
not required.
Knowledge of milieu
management, ability to
safely implement special
treatment procedures.
Manual/finger dexterity,
hand-eye coordination,
hearing and vision
sufficient to perform
essential job functions.
Full range of motion
including handling and
lifting patients, ability to
run, ability to restrain
patients weighing up to 250
lbs.
Ability to lift and carry
items weighing up to 50
lbs., walk 6+ hours per day,
frequently standing,
bending, stooping and
reaching to check or move
equipment and assist
patients.
Ability to speak clearly and
write legibly.
Emotional stability
sufficient to perform
essential job functions.
