Paid Time
Off (PTO) –– provided to all
benefit-eligible employees and
accrues on a per-hour-worked basis
from day 1 of employment. Based on a
full-time schedule of 80 hours per
pay period, employees receive: 21
days per year for 0 to <5 years of
service; 26 days per year for 5 to
<10 years of service; 31 days per
year for 10+ years of service.
401K
Pension Plan – using
American Funds’ mutual funds. The
plan allows for employee
contribution as well as employer
profit-sharing and matching
contributions. Employees may enroll
and/or change the level of their
contributions quarterly. The plan
features an ‘automatic’ employee
enrollment of 4% of employee
earnings, unless the employee
ops-out, effective January 1. The
vesting schedule is 3 service years
for both the employer profit sharing
contributions and matching
contributions.
Professional Development Program –
incorporates education dollars for
employees to attend classes and
seminars, prepare for promotional
opportunities and pursue
healthcare-related careers.
Full-time, ¾,
and ½ time employees. Effective 1st
of the month following employment.
Short-term disability –
this is a voluntary benefit that
upon approval allows for 60% of the
base wage to be paid for up to 13
weeks with a 2 week waiting period
when a non-work related illness or
injury keeps the employee from work.
Extended
Illness Bank – used for
long-term illness / injury.
Accumulates on a per hour worked
basis; may accrue to a maximum of
600 hours. A core long-term
disability coverage which covers the
employee at 40% of their base wage
when they have been out of work for
more than 90 days due to an illness
or injury. The employee also has the
opportunity to purchase additional
coverage.
